FIRST PHOTO: Wailea Canoe Club makes its way to the finish line to win the Queen Lili’uokalani Canoe Race on Saturday in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii island. SECOND PHOTO: The crew of Dane Dudoit, Kevin Dudoit, Nalu Sampson, Kekoa Cramer, Triston Kahookele-Santos and Kekoa Santos finished the 18-mile course from Honaunau to Kailua Bay in 2 hours, 3 minutes, 49 seconds to win the Iron Non Koa Open Division for the second straight year. Team Oceania (2:04:47) placed second and Tui Tonga (2:05:26) was third. Wailea also won the Unlimited Men division in a time of 2:05:11. In the female division — which saw paddlers race from Kailua Bay to Honaunau — Paddlers of Laka/Ka Lahui Ka placed first in Iron Non Koa, while Kai ‘Ehitu Canoe Club won the unlimited title.
